Eating Ice Cream in Mostar

Today we went on a tour to the city of Mostar in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Since the end of the war in 1995 the city has been rebuilding itself. One of the main sights on the tour was the Old Bridge which was rebuilt in recent years. There were some young men up there who offered to jump from the bridge so we could take photos, but only if we paid them 30 euros (abour NZ$60)! That got quite a laugh from our group, who of course did not pay!

After a tour of the city we were given 3 free hours to do as we wished. Since it was so hot (apparently 35 degrees!) we spent all our time in shady restaurants & cafes enjoying pizza, pasta, icecream and lots of cold drinks. It was a very pleasant afternoon!
