Return to Borneo - Day 5

GEOGRAPHY LESSON

Today we flew to Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, via Brunei. Since most of you don't seem to have the foggiest as to where this is a geography lesson is in order. Borneo is in Southeast Asia and is home to the Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak, the Indonesian state of Kalimatan, and the small sultanate of Brunei. We love Sabah. It's beautiful, the people are friendly, and the wildlife is fantastic. Those of you that are reality show enthusiasts will have seen Sabah before. The first ever Survivor was filmed here and Sabah was also one of the destinations on The Amazing Race 4.

By the time we arrived at our Kota Kinabalu hotel, the Magellan Sutera, it was already about 9pm. This is an amazing resort hotel anyway, but on check-in we discovered we'd been upgraded to a club room. Wow! The room was massive and absolutely perfect. Unfortunately we had less than 8 hours to enjoy it!
