Return to Borneo - Day 3

A SWEATY EXCURSION

We have now climbed Bukit Timah, the highest point in Singapore, twice. OK, it's not so impressive considering it's only just over 160m high. When you factor in the heat, extreme humidity, and sore feet from the day before though it feels like a whole lot higher. There's nothing to see from the top due to dense vegetation but it's a good walk with lots of squirrels and other wildlife to keep an eye out for.

We were going to spend the evening on Sentosa Island, but after braving the rush-hour crowds on the train to get to the Harbourfront station it started pouring as soon as we arrived. So back on the busy train we went to Orchard Road where we joined hordes of Singaporeans in what seems to be their favourite hobby....shopping. Prices here are either the same or cheaper than at home so we got a few things we'd been after. When we left NZ we were impressed that we only had 13kg of luggage between us. Our bags are definitely a lot heavier than that now.
