Return to Borneo - Day 4

NIGHT SAFARI

The Night Safari is excellent. Very, very excellent. That's why we saved it until our last night in Singapore. It's open from 7:30pm until midnight, and is home to a huge variety of animals most active at night. Most people see the Night Safari by way of a 45 minute tram ride. While everyone else was lining up for the tram we took off on a walking trail. The trails go into different areas than the tram and we were pretty much alone for most of the walk. It's great fun wandering through the dimly lit jungle with interesting animals around every corner. A truly magical experience! The tram is great too. Usually it's just a moat separating you from the animals, and in some cases you drive right through the enclosures and the animals are right next to the tram. It was a fantastic night and the perfect way to end our time here.
